Syntell a leading blue chip company providing cutting edge technology based services for Road Safety, Traffic Management and Revenue Collection approached Methys to develop a fully operational Android application that allows traffic officers to capture both S341 and S56 notices (Traffic fines).
The application allows officers to login, capture fine details manually or by scanning license disks or cards. The device can then connect to the Syntell system and issue the correct fine based on the offence. Integration with a portable bluetooth printer was done, so that fines could be printed on the spot.
The introduction of the application would be a real game changer in the way Traffic Officers capture and issue fines.
The following key services were completed to deliver this project.
Methys utilises wireframing tools to develop a visual skeleton of the application to aid in the functional analysis process. These wireframes highlight common UI & UX elements, and describes user interaction and navigational flow within the project.
Design mock-ups of key application / website components are created. The final designs are presented as static images, providing a representation of the final look and feel of the project to the client before development commences.
The application was built natively for Android and to work on multiple screen sizes.
Quality assurance takes place by a dedicated tester using the test cases defined during the analysis process. These test cases will be used in the final testing and QA phases.
