HYYP Home App

HYYP is an innovative, privately owned company, with a mission to change the way that people interact with their home, business and communication devices. HYYP approached Methys to build an Android App that gives remote access to monitor and control a home or business anywhere, any time, in real time. Using an Android Smartphone or Tablet, the HYYP Home App allows owners to access their IDS alarm panel. Future development will allow for further remote control of site devices.

The application offers Secure multi-site management from a smart phone, Full arm, stay arm, and disarm abilities as set up by the installer, Zone Bypass function to handle problematic zones, User management, including zone and partition naming, as well as the ability to set, edit, suspend, or delete user access rights, Real-time notifications and “Make a Call” function for contacting the monitoring company or critical contacts in the event of emergencies or false alarm activations.

What we did.

Methys built the HYYP app to allow remote control monitoring of alarm panels as well as a CMS.

Wireframing

Methys utilises wireframing tools to develop a visual skeleton of the application to aid in the functional analysis process. These wireframes highlight common UI & UX elements, and describes user interaction and navigational flow within the project.

Design

Design mock-ups of key application / website components are created. The final designs are presented as static images, providing a representation of the final look and feel of the project to the client before development commences.

Development

The application was built natively for Android. The solution also offers a dynamic CMS built on Java.

Quality Assurance

Quality assurance takes place by a dedicated tester using the test cases defined during the analysis process. These test cases will be used in the final testing and QA phases.

Deployment

On completion of the project the website deployed to the server.
