Purpose and duties

A role exists for a Junior Receptionist is a professional involved in various clerical and administrative duties such as operating the multi phone line systems, directing the client calls to the respective departments, greeting the visitors to the organization and providing essential information to the visitors etc.

These responsibilities include (and are not limited to):

  • Answering Switchboard and directing calls to various extensions
  • Greeting the visitors and clients
  • Ordering refreshments for meetings
  • Take minutes at meetings
  • Filing on a daily basis
  • Creating and organizing files
  • Very strong professional email skills
  • Digital and startup ecosystem watch (on internet)
  • Follow up of and posting on FSAT Labs communication channels (FBK, Twitter, LinkedIn, Blog) – once per week
  • Preparing documents for shipping and mailing.


*The minimum qualification Matric / Grade 12 Senior Certificate

  • Minimum two years receptionist experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
  • Strong Computer Skills
  • Strong data entry and typing skills
  • Ability to handle multiple phone lines simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure
