Methys Labs’ PayGenius startup winner of the French Grand Prix for Overseas French Entrepreneurs

Awesome news from France! For its 4th edition, more than 400 passionate entrepreneurs, members of the jury and representatives of the partners gathered at the Pavillon d’Armenonville in Paris to celebrate the Grand Prix of French fast growing companies. 14 sectors of activities were honoured, rewarding not only French companies selected for their remarkable growth but also French entrepreneurs operating overseas. Pre-selected among more than 230 French companies that experienced high growth in recent years, PayGenius, an innovative payment solution for companies, has been awarded with the French Overseas Entrepreneur award. Founded initially in 2009 in Cape Town (South Africa) by Sébastien Lacour, PayGenius took its first steps in the Methys Labs incubator where it was able to develop customisable mobile payment solutions for its customers, in particular in niche markets such as tourism, education and community services.

Sebastien Lacour, Chairman and CEO of PayGenius:
“PayGenius was one of the companies behind the creation of the FrenchTech HUB in Cape Town, and we are very pleased today to be consolidated in the international scope of our company among South Africa’s key players”
